Join your Vancouver CIO peers, Cohesity and AWS for an engaging afternoon of executive-level discussion and peer connection as we consider what it really takes to recover from a major cyber disruption, not simply by getting systems back online, but by restoring the critical services the business needs in an environment you can trust.
Recovery used to be largely a question of speed: how quickly can we restore systems and resume operations? A destructive cyberattack changes that equation. When infrastructure, identities, data and recovery environments themselves may be compromised, simply getting systems back online isn't enough.
The more important question becomes: Which critical business services must return first, and how do we know they can be trusted?
A Minimum Viable Company (MVC) is an organization's ability to restore the critical services required to remain operational following a major disruption, in an environment the organization trusts.
This small-format CIO roundtable will explore what defining and operationalizing an MVC looks like in practice, including:
Which services come back in the first wave, and who has the authority to make that decision at 2 a.m.?
What does “last known good” actually mean across infrastructure, security and the business?
Who determines that a restored business service is trusted, rather than simply online?
What capabilities and environments need to exist before an incident so recovery can happen independently of potentially compromised production systems?
